So, as we're waiting for the next round...
I'm wondering this: What bands put out a stellar first record...a band that you thought would really blow the roof off the music scene...and then consistently put out absolute crap after that.

ReplyDeleteIt's always that first album that hooks you in and keeps you picking up subsequent albums.
ReplyDeleteWeezer's blue album and pinkerton hooked me, and i still keep picking up their crappy albums. Interpol's first album was one of my favorite albums of the late 90's, but their last two have left a sour taste in my mouth. Ditto, with the Strokes. I really liked the Shout Out Louds first. Beta Band's 3 eps were awesome, but the follow-ups didn't do anything for me. Badly drawn boy seems to have lost it (some might say he never really had it). And Oasis, I want my money back
