Lambchop represent.
ReplyDeleteI'm kind of convinced Lambchop are the best band on the planet right now. Jane will testify that I go around saying this almost all day.
ReplyDeleteHey Zwartitude,
ReplyDeleteYou don't have nearly enough soul on your list. What gives? You suck.
Have you seen this video of Lambchop: http://vimeo.com/7456122? A cover, but a ruling one.
ReplyDeleteYeah, this is from their new live album, and I think there's an accompanying DVD. Everyone should watch this and then vote for Lambchop.
ReplyDeleteLove "EOMS"...I had to put a Stones album on my list, and that was my back-up. Thrilled to hear you're checking out Dilla...He and Madlib have made some of the best left-field instrumenttal hip-hop out there. His post-humous release "Jay Stay Paid" (released this summer and mixed by Pete Rock) also holds up really well as a whole album...
ReplyDeleteI'm quite surprised Disintegration didn't end up on your list based on how many times I've heard the story about the day you got that record.
ReplyDeleteAlso, Tlenee was asking me to predict what albums people would put up there...I said Andrew will have Houses of the hOly on there for sure
